Ron Sato has been in the mortgage business for 40 years, making him the most experienced mortgage professional on the Big Island of Hawaii. Ron created Point Financial in 1999 to offer his expertise and passion for helping people buy homes, investment properties and land in West Hawaii.
“I really enjoy working with first time home buyers. I like watching families grow and have had second generation clients obtain mortgages to buy their first homes,” Ron states. “My expertise is seeing “red flags” that will delay or halt a mortgage application, costing my clients time during the real estate transaction. With my experience in working with every kind of home loan program in the State of Hawaii, I know which programs work best for my clients based on their individual needs”.
Ron attended Damien Memorial High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Arts and Sciences and has two years of graduate work. As an early adopter, Ron was involved in computer programming and internet marketing for the mortgage industry.
Ron has held a real estate license since 1972, but it is currently inactive.
Aside from leading Point Financial, Ron enjoys numerous activities including golf, tennis, bicycling, swimming and international travel.
Clyde has enjoyed his time as a loan officer for Point Financial since he started in 2007, providing exceptional service and knowledge of a variety of loan programs. Clyde has been involved in various community organizations including the Kona Exchange Club, Kona Rotary, and Kona Lions Club, holding various key positions. Clyde raised funds for the Boy Scouts of America for over 25 years and supports all of his children’s numerous educational and athletic activities. Clyde also enjoys playing tennis.
Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, Clyde graduated from Hilo High School and received a BA degree in marketing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. As Branch Manager for First Hawaiian Creditcorp for six years, Clyde managed staff, and provided consumer and real estate loans. While Branch Manager for GE Capital Hawaii for 14 years, he supervised a staff of five employees and specialized in real estate loans.
